1. What is Mobile phone unlocking?
Some Mobile Phones are sold locked to the Operator or Provider. This stops the use of the Phone on other networks. This means that if you buy a phone on Orange you cannot insert a sim card and use it on Vodafone. This is called a Network Lock or Restriction. To enable the use of the phone on another network the handset must be Unlocked and the restriction removed. This is called Phone unlocking.
2.Is it Illegal to unlock a Mobile Phone?
It is NOT Illegal to unlock a Mobile Phone although this could void the Phones warranty. Some Operators provide the unlock codes that enable you to do this however it is very expensive compared to other methods available.
3.How do i unlock a Mobile Phone?
There are only 2 methods to do this. One is using a cable and software to read the unlock code from the handset or remove the network restriction by sending a command to the phone. The 2nd method is by entering the Phones Imei number into a calculator which will then generate a code however this method is not always possible.
4.What is an Imei Number?
This is the Phones unique Serial number (identifier).
5.Do you change the Imei on a phone?
We do not do this as it is considered Illegal in most countries.
6.Do you provide Unlock codes Direct from the Operator?
Jic are software developers and as such we do not provide third party solutions. We only sell our own products.
7.Do you sell direct from your website?
We only sell through our network of Resellers and this is because we are generally too busy to deal with individual orders.
8.Who provides support for your products?
All support should be given by the Reseller. It is only fair that when you purchase your product from a Reseller that they should give you full support for the product they provided.
9.As software Developers do Jic undertake projects for individuals?
We are always interested in any opportunity offered to us however most projects can be a lengthy and expensive undertaking.
10.If you do not sell from your website then who are your customers?
We mainly work direct with Mobile Phone Distributors as this is a more lucrative market for us however we sell our products which are listed on the website through our network of resellers. We also develop software for some Security Services and Law Enforcement Agencies but we do not normally list this on our website.
